Biography
Lali Akhalbedashvili is a Doctor of Sciences. She completed with honors Tbilisi State University, defended PhD thesis in Moscow State University in 1980, in 2005 defended her doctoral dissertation in Tbilisi State University. She works in Tbilisi State University and in Caucasian Institute of Mineral Resources as senior researcher. Fields of specialization: heterogeneous catalysis, adsorption, ionexchange and catalytic properties of synthetic and natural zeolites; their investigation for purification of radioactive waste water from 137Cs, 90Sr, 60Co and other nuclides, for cleaning of surface waters from heavy metals; synthesis, analysis and study of catalytic activity of HTSC. She is an author of 98 scientific papers. Have awards. Also she is the member of editorial board of Journal of Georgian Chemical Society and a Member of Representative Council of Tbilisi State University.
