Macronutrients

Macronutrients are essential nutrients that the body requires in relatively large amounts to sustain various physiological functions and provide energy. There are three main types of macronutrients:

Carbohydrates:- Carbohydrates are the body's primary source of energy. They are broken down into sugars (glucose), which cells use for fuel.

Proteins:- Proteins are crucial for the structure, function, and regulation of the body's cells, tissues, and organs. They are made up of amino acids.

Dietary sources of protein include meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes, nuts, and seeds.

Fats (Lipids):- Fats serve as an energy reserve, provide insulation, and are essential for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).
