Nutrition and Rural Development

A global challenge becomes healthy and sustainable diets. While large and generally poor populations are facing hunger and under-nutrition, chronic diseases associated with overweight and diet have thought pandemic proportions mostly in developed and transforming economies. Furthermore, improvements in food and lifestyles have an incontestable impact that can not be overlooked on natural resources and climate change.

The2-year "Public Health Nutrition" and "Nutrition Security and Management" majors program trains specialists who can develop programs to improve population nutrition. Students should lead to the systematic use of improved health and food security as a starting point.
